First Draft of my Minimum Program

Hoping this inspires others to write their own program. We need it now more than ever.

While the corporate media seeks to divide the American workers on cultural issues, I instead argue that anyone who truly loves this country must develop a political program which serves all of our interests.

America is being destroyed by inflation, and yet the media wants to whipsaw us into cultural debates. We are smarter than that.

This is the first draft of my political program. It is designed to enrage the oligarchs and the deep state. It is designed to serve the interests of the commoner, no matter their affiliation or tendencies.

Taxation

No taxation without representation!

Significantly reduce the income tax rate on the 99% of people (below $800k per year)

Eventually transition to 0% income tax for those of us below $800k per year. It can be done.

Inversely increase the tax on the top 1%. (above $800k per year)

Close all tax loopholes. Ban usage of tax havens. The British Crown, Switzerland, etc. are allowing our oligarchs to circumvent our taxes using their overseas tax havens.

Other forms of government revenue should be explored, such as running competitive state-owned enterprises for profit.

Housing / Shelter

FREE public housing for those making at-or-below average national wage

Construct Luxury Public Housing, offer far below market rate rents

Increase Homeownership Rate ( China has much higher rates than we do )

Food System

Our corporate-controlled food system is currently killing us. We need to take the profit motive out of food production. We need to direct food production for the sake of public health, improve access and affordability of healthy options, discourage bad health options.

Farmers should be adequately paid, they should be protected from the monopolist corporations who control the industry. In fact, those monopolist corporations must be shut down.

Transportation

Rural Transportation

Rural dwellers ought to qualify, under most circumstances, for a FREE basic vehicle. Probably a truck, depending on the applicant’s needs. Paid for by taxing the ultra-rich.

If a rural person wants more vehicles than can be reasonably anticipated, they can purchase those from the markets. (as is currently done today)

Re-pave or rebuild our crumbling roads

Build new roads in areas that need them

Urban Transportation

Urban areas must be made walkable, bike-friendly, and public transit-friendly

Public transit should be free to access, again paid for by taxing the ultra rich

Healthcare

The United States is the richest country in the world, and is the only country without universal healthcare. This is a crime against the American people!

Single-Payer Healthcare (like what our corrupt congresspeople currently enjoy)

News Media

The corporate media is our enemy. They represent the people who seek to impoverish and immiserate the workers.

We need to rebuild publicly funded media, ad-free media, and allow newsrooms to hire real investigative journalists. We need to bring back Muckraking to fight the entrenched corporate power.

Elections

Turn “election day” into “election week” so that everyone has time to vote

Expand exit polling. Particularly, with secure Open Source apps and software that allowed independent third parties to vet the accuracy.

Get rid of Gerrymandering. Make congressional districts simple and mathematically competitive.

Improve the chances of Third Party victories with Approval voting instead of our current First Past the Post system.

Publicly funded elections. It shouldn’t require millions of dollars to run an election. Anyone who qualifies should be allotted funds for specific use on campaigns, media people, writers, etc.

Corruption

Nobody should be above the law. The fat cat industry tycoon, the famous and beautiful celebrity, the powerful congressperson, the wealthy lobbyist. They should not be above the law.

Furthermore, the law must be improved and simplified. It’s designed to be complex, obtuse, and obfuscated to the point where no regular person can navigate it. This is in the interests of the ultra-rich, whose well-paid lawyers can connivingly navigate the legal system to get high-profile criminals off the hook.

Environment

Against De-Growth

The corrupt oligarchs at the World Economic Forum want to pursue a “Green Agenda” which aims to enhance monopoly profits and reduce industrial competition by discouraging economic growth around the world.

In Favor of Growth

China, on the other hand, protecting their environment while also expanding the productive forces in order to keep their people fed and their quality of life rising.

We must address the environmental risks posed by the current activities of industrial production, but the solution mustn’t be to reduce industrial output but rather increase industrial output in a way that doesn’t threaten our biosphere or our workers and farmers.

Automation

Andrew Yang touched on this a little bit in his run for president in 2016. In response to the risk of technological unemployment, he argued for a Universal Basic Income. I do not argue for a UBI, but I do argue that we must solve this problem.

A temporary measure could be to resurrect the demand for reduced work hours in response to rising productivity. The last time we demanded this was in the 1930s which won us the 8 hour workday.

We’re productive enough for a 4 hour workday. And a 4 day workweek. Or less!

Machines should liberate the workman from his toils, machines shouldn’t cast the workers into the streets due to unemployment.

Longer-term solutions on the Automation Question will require us to ask “who owns the robots?” … the answer will either be: the few (while most starve) or the many (while all eat)

That is all I will say on that matter.

People’s Power

Community assemblies should be constructed to fight corporate power. Workplace committees, tenants associations, groupings and combinations of all types must be constructed.

The ruling elites already have such groupings. They’re fraternities, sororities, business clubs, revolving doors between government and industry, intelligence networks, of the public and private variety.

We need popular power to fight against corporate power.

Banks

Nationalize the big banks.

The private bankers care only about their own profits, they’re servants to their own greed and corruption. They committed fraud in 2008 and instead of going to jail, our currency was debased to rescue them.

A few relevant quotes about banks:

“And I sincerely believe with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.” — Thomas Jefferson to John Taylor, 1816

“Paper money has had the effect in your state that it will ever have, to ruin commerce, oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice.” — George Washington to J. Bowen 1787

End the Federal Reserve

The Ron Paul fans will like this one. I agree with them that the Creature from Jeckyll Island must be slayed.

The Federal Reserve is an unaccountable unelected private body of private banks that control the US monetary policy. This is unacceptable.

The people of this country must dictate such important policies, not the private elites who hail from the Ivy League.

What’s next for this program?

This is v1 of my program. Let’s spread it far and wide to get feedback and see what can be improved. I’m happy to take your criticisms via Twitter or TruthSocial or in the comment section below.

Long live the American people and the American Republic! down with the oligarchs and elites!
