So there is an app called Speechify which basically allows people to listen to text using ai enhanced voices, or even listen to it in one's own voice.
It's a big time saver and significantly increases reading comprehension and reading speed.
It would be great if WeWrite had a text to speech feature similar to Speechify which had high quality ai enhanced voices.
In addition to just a nice text to speech feature, there's another feature which I think could make WeWrite really shine.
Now considering that speechify allows one to clone their own voice, I was thinking what if people could clone their voice to read to other people?
Think of this, a user named Bob can upload a sample of their voice, and that sample would be cloned into a text to speech voice.
Now, when any other user listens to what Bob has to say, they will have it read to them using Bob's cloned voice.
Of course this feature would be optional, and if say Bob decided not to upload his voice, there would be standard voices choices to choose from, of course these voices too would be ai enhanced.
As for the cost of running these, I'm not entirely sure, but under the assumption that WeWrite will take a small cut from everyone who is paying the monthly amount which they can use to fund writers which they like, it should be fundable enough.
Either way, this feature would be cool
This also goes back to my idea that Truckers must organize through WeWrite, and this would make it all the more accessible to truckers who are on long drives to get their wewrite hit.
