perhaps it could be customized in the Share to social flow? Not sure if this is feasible, since it'd probably require a custom URL and a custom OG image for each share, rather than a global one. This would also explode resource usage.
Can this change depending on the system theme? Did some digging, I don't think this is possible right now. We'd need operating systems to extend this functionality to us by letting us provide different images based on system theme.

Trigger image refresh after each page save, so we don't keep old versions as the image
Once we have OG images we could more easily use WeWrite marketing pitches directly without needing to create images for marketing
