Their name is brilliant. They take the "sand" of your mind's thoughts, and they let you crystalize them, sharpen them, harden them, by forcing them all together (pressure) via interconnected links.

Unfortunately, Obsidian is clunky, hard to learn, dev-friendly, not normie-friendly.

I've tried to onboard friends and it's a nightmare. They never stick with it and develop it as a habit. There are no good Rapid feedback loops on there. See Hooked

WeWrite is web-based, cross-platform, no need to pay for the ability to sync across devices, since it's already syncing to a web server.

Obsidian only monetizes through their Obsidian "sync" feature, WeWrite has its own monetization model WeWrite revenue

Obsidian also isn't a social media platform. WeWrite aims to build all the feedback loops to make WW into a social media platform. These include Activity feed, Notifications, Group leaderboard etc

Obsidian Publish is $8/mo per site, on WeWrite it's Free to publish
