Information arrives to us in various ways
Mediated and unmediated
Obviously, even "unmediated" information is still mediated through our sense-perception and our nervous system
But when I say "unmediated" I mean experiential, direct observation, direct on-the-ground investigation
Most information arrives to us as being mediated through journalists, writers, videos, photos, social media
This relates to Haz's recent defense of "Jackson Hinkle Modernity" which is a "Destruction of the discourse" through brainrot slop warfare, hilarity, and apparent "contradiction" and "paradoxes"
The aim of brain-rot warfare is to "destroy the discourse" by raising it to its most rabid, hysterical, idiotic limits
TikTok doesn't take itself seriously, all who tread in TikTok know that they're engaging with brainrot slopo warfare
For some reason, dumbasses on X seem to take it very seriously. They don't realize it's all a silly game. It's a carnival.
Viral photos and videos can be highly deceptive
Words can deceive too, but given that they must be actively, consciously processed by the recipient ("cool media") they're more easily pondered and weighed against one's own common sense
The medium is the message
Twitter is designed to be forgotten, it's ephemeral, endless feed of slop
WeWrite and wikis aim to be comprehensive, interconnected, meaningful
Haz says not to try to fit a Hinkle tweet into a coherent system of slop; it's warfare against the discourse
A long form essay or an official party statement, on the other hand, should be taken seriously and integrated into a coherent system
