In Chicago we talked to an Electrician Journeyman who interrogated us about our conception of everyday blue collar Americans.
He related to us that on break when he would discuss politics with his MAGA buddies, them knowing that he was a Communist would ask out of curiosity why he held the position he did. He would simply explain that if you work for a living you’re a Communist.
This, of course we agreed with, but then he says something that changed the game.
He had stated, very matter of fact, that when these guys say that “The elite are all Marxist” that they’re right. That they have correctly assessed the situation and understand exactly who they are ruled by and the weapons they use to do so.
The reaction of those with knowledge of Marxism might gasp at this statement and polemicize against it.
“No they’re not! Marxism has been twisted by the elites! They’ve been propagandized against for decades into an anti-Soviet Cold War mentality!”
However, He had identified this as incorrect city bias. That when these dudes are on their smoke break jamming on political takes, they are not only correct, but understand exactly who the enemy is.
The elites have read Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao.
The Army reads Che for Guerrilla warfare.
Klaus Schwab has a bust of Lenin.
Steven Bannon said he was a Leninist.
The Neocons spawned from the Trotskyist camp!
Fuck man, the elites have read Hudson!
In his introduction to the 2021 edition of “Super Imperialism” Hudson points out how despite his hope that the socialist camp would be the first to pick up his book, he was curiously first approached by Wall Street elites and western financial and educational institutions on how to do Super imperialism but better.
So when normal blue collar guys say “We are ruled by Marxists” they’re correct. This isn’t a matter of using the wrong terms. They have sharper eyes than the left here at home.
“Reality is Marxist”
The Elites, or at least some of them, are skilled Marxist. They’ve understand exactly how to weaponize the economic situation to wage class war.
The entire organization of the US economy already is in a way, a planned socialist economy.
But it’s socialism for the RICH.
Normal blue collar working class Americans understandably Marxism as a weapon being used against them. They don’t exactly know the history or the details, but they KNOW Marxism is what is being used.
They just don’t understand yet that it’s actually a weapon of REVOLUTION that’s meant for THEM bc of how much propaganda has come their way.
So people turn to MAGA, because they’re convinced that the good capitalist is going to win against the evil socialists! I mean, what is the opposite of socialism after all but good ol American Captitalism!
It is OUR task then, as the ACP, to make this intelligible and that begins with not insulting their intelligence and shooting it straight.
You ARE ruled by people who use Marxism as a weapon. You can’t turn back the clock, but you CAN learn the tactics of your enemy to defeat them.
Marxism was never a tool for them to fuck us over, it was always a tool of revolution.
In essence, they have flipped Marx on his head
We must put him back on his feet
We must make it clear that it is their right, it is their DUTY, to pick up the weapon of Marxism and use it to win a future for themselves!
I’m convinced that this is a new development, this theory of “socialist civil war” as propaganda line but also a way of deepening the American left’s understanding of the circumstances we are in.
This needs to be tested and studied.
My instincts tell me that we need to go down to the people and make this intelligible to them and that this strategy could actually work.
We DO live in a socialist civil war, the issue is that you don’t know you’ve been drafted yet.
Study your enemy. The weapons they use were never theirs to take, they’re YOURS.
I mean it worked with MAGA Communism- anecdotally there was some chatter among the ultras that the MWM and MAGA Communist line was reaching genuine blue collar workers more effectively than their curated Marxist language and they were pissed about it.
The issue is that this simply needs to reach more people.
I genuinely don’t believe it’s sacrificing long term goals, I think it’s correctly clarifying the state of the world we live in, this objective shift since the post war period into a world where Marxism has objectively already won.
Our goal is simply to make it clear that Marxism is a science of revolution, and those who use it to suppress revolution are the enemy.
They are Marxists in the way nuclear weapons can be made into bombs or into endless sources of energy and we must correct the masses not in their feeling that the elites are Marxists, which already proves in itself that Marxism is a real science, but that their solution is to turn back the clock.
That is what Comrades who refute this line of thinking are doing, turning back the clock to an era before the Information Age. Before the robust planning of the global financial system. To an era where the elites were genuinely not Marxist.
But that can no longer be said to be true because Marxism as a science has already won. If the elites have already recognized this and despised it and erased its revolutionary heart from the collective memory of the American people, why are we bickering over if they are or not Marxist.
What we ought to be doing is making the revolutionary aspect intelligible again.
Similar to how the ruling class dampens the revolutionary spirit of 1776 and tries to dissuade us from understanding it as a progressive historical moment, we must bring the revolutionary question back into the fore.
