Inflation is pricing Americans out of their communities
There’s an economic war being waged against the American working class. Average people are being priced out of their homes and forced into poverty and pauperism. Not only is housing unaffordable, so too is the rest of life; groceries, transportation, etc.
Home Ownership declines, while Young Adults Living at Home increases
The cost of living is rising faster than wages, resulting in a decline of real purchasing power.
Wall Street has bought up the whole housing market. Yes, the same folks who crashed our economy and got a free bail-out from the Federal Reserve. They printed a bunch of money, debased your currency, and gave it to the greedy crooks at the top.
These financial capitalists are parasites who do not produce anything of value, unlike industrial capitalists which innovate, invent, and advance to a more productive technological future.
Corporations already sell us clean water at immense profit margins while they poison our natural water sources. Same with the sale of breathable air to those who live in polluted cities. These parasites will take all human rights from us and sell them back to us at a profit.
Capitalism is holding back prosperity. Marx didn’t criticize capitalism for “not being fair” like some kind of liberal moralist. He criticized capitalism because it would soon become as useless as feudalism. He knew that the drive for profit would work for a time, but when the inevitable monopolies arose (through competition!) they’d be incapable of advancing to higher levels of society.
A society of immense abundance is an unprofitable society. If you produce too many luxury goods, the price will collapse, thanks to supply and demand. Profit requires scarcity.
Why, then, would we maintain a profit-based system, when we could instead have an abundance-based system? Why make money for the folks at the top, when we could meet the needs of all?
The Louisiana governor in the 1930s, Huey Long, proclaimed “Every Man a King!” as he waged taxes against the big oil companies in order to construct homes and libraries and roads for average Louisianans.
Deng Xiaoping, the “Architect of Modern China” said: “The superiority of the socialist system is demonstrated, in the final analysis, by faster and greater development of those forces than under the capitalist system. As they develop, the people’s material and cultural life will constantly improve.”
Capitalism is no longer of use to us. Chinese socialism is producing more innovation than the declining Western capitalist “democracies” (which are really oligarchies, or better yet plutocracies; governments controlled by the rich)
What do we do?
Both political parties are owned and controlled by Wall Street. The Democratic Party is fully controlled by the Rockefellers and Big Oil, and the Republican Party exists as a pseudo-populist controlled opposition whose economic positions hardly differ from the Democrats, and the only difference is pointless cultural issues that are used to drive a wedge within the population.
We need to build new forms of popular democratic power. We need to break the two-party system. We need a government of action that will fight for working families.
Build neighborhood councils, community assemblies, talk to your neighbors, write pamphlets to spread around the community.
Start book clubs, read Huey Long. Read Thomas Paine. Read Lenin. Stalin’s Foundations of Leninism. Stalin’s Dialectical and Historical Materialism. Read the Declaration of Independence.
When a long train of abuses reduces our state to absolute despotism, it is our right, it is our duty to fight for a better tomorrow. For our children, and our grandchildren!
