HCI and neurology

By

HCI = Human-computer interaciton

HCI is as delicate as brain surgery

HCI is neuroscience

My late grandma had Alzheimer's and the neurologists were SO KIND and sweet and patient with her

it made me realize that they knew how fragile the mind was, and how kindness helps to keep someone together

it actually broke my heart to think about all the times I'd been unkind; that my unkindness was actually killing the other person. (This is also what Jesus says in the Bible, that hatred in the heart is same as murder)

Bad designs are the same as mean words

Being confused by an interface? Not being able to figure out how to solve the problem?

This is aggression to the user

Think of how much more frustrating this is to someone who is older, or has some kind of sensory disability

Accessibility is kindness

Kind words should be spoken to all
