If the goal is to make writing addicting:
Look into the Reddit/ Recent X model that drives engagement
I know that’s heresy but there’s something to be said about the reply mechanism that makes it easier to fuel writing
Idek what that would look like on WW, or if that’s even close to the original vision, but might be worth investigating
Similar mechanics can be found in how we use Telegram in the Education chat. Perhaps WW functions as a forum with the capacity to house larger written works the way we chat on telegram but then send polemics to each other. Except now you don’t need to use google docs as a third party. Idk just spitballin
On mobile, the loading symbol doesn’t disappear when I load in a page via the telegram browser
The monetization pop up is cool, but I’m ngl, if you’re looking to make donations easier, I think a secondary system of one time “I agree” donos in the form of maybe a sticker or something (like in streaming) might be a good way to also draw in revenue. Again just spitballin
Perhaps a directory for the idea tree is in order? Like if you’re several links deep maybe it would be easier to navigate thru a directory. Idek what that would look like.
Maybe it would look like nodes on nuke (a VFX software) where set blocks connect to each other in specific ways.
A down the line aesthetic upgrade- perhaps to shift in the direction of making WW look more like pages on a book? Idk I like the artistic idea behind the name “we write”
Being able to reference specific lines within a piece would be sick. Like having the link with a number take you to the exact line you’re referring to. I forget if this is already in the dev log or not.
Editing font styles and whatnot as an aesthetic thing
I know you’re a dark mode guy, I am too, but possibly a light mode/ page mode the way Apple Books does it
Idk why but a crediting system, some sort of visual indicator to show who you’re drawing ideas from. Idk what that even means, maybe it’s a pop up on the side that has people listed where you got ideas from especially when it comes to projects where you’ve iterated on them multiple times with a lot of input from many people. Who knows.
I hate to turn it back to social media, but there’s a very useful mechanic they use to drive engagement where they show you posts that either agree or disagree with you and that could be useful in sharpening your own writing ability. “We need better enemies” but applied systemically.
Maybe an about the author page lmfao.
