The State and Revolution

By

Banger book by Lenin

Argues that the state (governments) is not neutral, but it operates on behalf of a certain class

The state exists because of class society

Without the haves and the have nots there would be no need for a government in the first place

The only way to defeat the bad guys with a state is for good guys to have a state

Not even moralizing, just saying the only way to defeat the state-for-the-few is to build a state-for-the-many

This is where libertarians fall flat, they hate the state, but they are not brave enough to build their own alternative state

Dual Power

There's much more information in the book but that's one of the key takeaways

Billions must read
