Trump's Arctic Ambition

By

President Trump's recent expressions of interest in annexing Greenland and Canada are not about his personal whims but reflect strategic directives from imperial finance and Western elites. This move is part of a broader agenda to maintain and extend Western imperial influence amidst the geopolitical shifts brought about by the melting Arctic ice caps.

The Melting Ice and Strategic Opportunities: The accelerated melting of the Arctic ice opens new maritime routes, which will revolutionize trade between North America and Asia. These developments are seen by imperial financiers and Western elites as crucial opportunities to control future economic and military pathways. The U.S. is clearly reacting, with the strategic interests of finance and elite influence at play, aiming to counterbalance the proactive stance of BRICS nations, especially Russia, in the region.

Geopolitical Stakes in the Arctic: Russia's advancements in the Arctic, through military and infrastructural investments, are unmistakably part of a broader strategy recognized by Western elites. Trump's actions are orchestrated by those who understand the imperative to maintain imperial control over finance, energy, military, and trade routes. This is certainly not merely about national security but about securing global economic power, influenced by the financial sectors and elite policymakers who view the Arctic as a new frontier for dominance.

Greenland | A Key to Naval and Economic Supremacy: Greenland's pivotal location in the Arctic in undeniably eyed by Western elites as a strategic asset for controlling emerging trade routes. Trump's interest in Greenland is influenced by these elites who see it as a means to extend U.S. military and economic influence. This approach starkly contrasts with the more collaborative strategies of BRICS countries like China, who seek to develop Greenland's resources in a way that avoids replicating the exploitative models of old.

Canada's Strategic Vulnerability: Canada's Arctic territory represents both an opportunity and a strategic vulnerability, as seen by imperial financiers and Western policymakers. Trump's rhetoric about annexation indicates a strategy influenced by those who wish to secure control over these routes for Western benefit, highlighting the ongoing imperialist overreach driven by elite interests. Moreover, with Russia possessing the entire opposite coastline, an undeveloped/underdeveloped Northern Canadian shoreline spells doom for the petrodollar, which relies on containing nations not subordinate to Western imperialist control by suppressing their trade. Should these suppressed markets gain a foothold on trade corridors not yet controlled by the West, imperialism stands to lose control over many of its subordinated colonies which, given the opportunity to secure less predatory trade partnerships, anticipate the chance to cease trade with the West or at the very least negotiate more favorable trade terms. And imperialism, without absolute monopoly as the sole provider of goods to colonized/hostage nations, stands to lose financial, industrial and military power over the world as it loses access to extracted resources & slave labor and thus the ability to manufacture the increased military required to retain and regain its control.

The Importance of Trade Routes and What Imperial Finance Will Do and Has Done to Monopolize Them: The past year's activities in Gaza are motivated by the imperialist need to update and expand monopolization over trade routes in the Middle East. The hidden agenda behind the operations in Gaza is linked to the proposed Ben Gurion Canal, which would serve as an alternative to the Suez, enhancing Israel's control over crucial trade corridors. This canal, if realized, would not only challenge Egypt's economic monopoly but also align with the strategic interests of Western elites aiming to maintain and extend influence over global shipping lanes. And just this alone is enough to drive imperialists' attempt to annihilate every Palestinian in the Levant in order to secure this new proposed corridor which just so happens to run directly through Gaza to the Mediterranean. And why is this relevant? Because if this is what imperial finance is willing to do for a single canal, it is certain that the race for control of the Arctic commands that much more of their rapacity.

A Strategic Play for Future Power: Trump's push for control over Greenland and Canada is a clear sign of how imperial finance and Western elites are decisively influencing U.S. foreign policy to maintain imperialist structures. The Arctic presents a unique chance for a new era where power could be shared, emphasizing sustainability and mutual development, led by nations like those in the BRICS bloc. However, the persistent influence of Western elites suggests their preference for traditional control, which will inevitably lead to further geopolitical tensions in this emerging strategic theater. We can thus conclude that no only is the recent signaling to globalize the Western Hemisphere's Norther shores a serious declaration of intent, but we can also expect that in the years to come, it will be prosecuted with the same ruthless intensity as we're seeing in Gaza, where the foundations of the Ben Gurion Canal, a new and improved chokepoint of trade, is being paved with Palestinian bodies.
