Jimmy and his guest, journalist and author Chris Hedges, discuss the Greater Israel Project, symbolized by an IDF soldier's armband showing a map of "the promised land" encompassing Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, and part of Turkey—confirming that Israel wars are not defensive but expansionist. Jonathan Pollard, a former US intelligence analyst who spied for Israel and damaged American intelligence networks, recently stated that after Iran, Israel must prepare for the "next war" against Turkey and Egypt, both NATO members.
Jimmy argues that Israel allowed October 7th to happen as a pretext for war, just as the US used 9/11 to justify wars in Iraq, Libya, and Syria—all of which benefited Israel's goal of destroying neighboring states. Hedges concludes that Israel cannot achieve the Greater Israel Project without US military and financial backing, and that while Israel has successfully destroyed Libya, Iraq, and Syria, the failed war on Iran has been "counterproductive" to its interests.
