NYC Subway and Public System errors

By

A communist America will have high speed railroads and much more frequent train rides

Despite America having a prominent car culture, which is often praised as a reflection of personal independence, it needs to be questioned, independence for who?

Not everyone has the ability to drive cars and often rely on public transportation to get to work, visit family and/or friends, go to school, etc.

Even those who have drivers licenses cannot always afford a car, let alone the ability to be able to pay for car insurance, often requiring taking up a second job.

The cutbacks of public transportation, bus lines, subway accessibility, and the increasing subway fares threaten people’s personal independence, especially senior citizens who can no longer drive.

It is in the best interest of American society to reconcile our car culture with the need of public transportation.

The price increases do not even benefit the MTA but rather the private contractors who build the security systems, newer subway models, etc. The public is not paying the MTA but the private contractors.

And speaking of security and surveillance, where were the police when the homeless woman was burned alive back in December of 2024? They were and still are too busy busting fare evaders and turntable jumpers.

A Free America must have a subway system that is meant to be used by public free of charge or a very low cost, which is possible by a command economy that utilizes public services purely for social use rather than enriching private contractors and speculative real estate.
