Your quality of life reflects how you are nourished, how you nourish others, & the way you function in the world.
Impressions-sensory, emotional, intellectual- are the food of the mind. We receive impressions from television, computers, music, movies, books, magazines, and often carry too much weight in our heads. Simplify your life by eliminating anything that does not promote wholesomeness. If you eat in a hurry, or gaze at an open fridge, you are feeding your stress level. Choosing foods that are natural & wholesome and eating with intention sends a message to your entire being that you are worth nourishing. Physical exercise clears cobwebs from an overfull mind by rerouting excess energy from the head into the body.
Rest and relaxation puts us back in touch with ourselves and nature. Consciously tune out external distractions and turn your full attention inward. When a thought arises that grips your attention, relax and breathe, let the tension go & return to neutrality.
Focus on how to provide for yourself. Expecting others to provide for you is irresponsible, immature, and selfish.
Do not hesitate to ask for what you need.
Then you can provide for others in ways far beyond your present capacity.
Pacing yourself is vitally important. You are capable of handling it all by maintaining well-being from within.
