Replying to Ahura Mazda vs Yahweh by FRANTZ
Yahweh, the eternal and self-existent God (Exodus 3:14), creates light by sovereign fiat "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3) without needing prior experience or deductive thought. Divine knowledge is immediate and archetypal, not limited as in creatures.
Zoroastrian dualism compromises God's absolute sovereignty. Scripture affirms one omnipotent God who decrees all things, including allowance of evil (privation) for His glory (Ephesians 1:11; Romans 8:28), without being its author (James 1:13).
Kant's intellectus archetypus more closely resembles the Christian God than the Zoroastrian conception. True light, knowledge, and goodness are revealed in Christ, the incarnate Word (John 1:1-14; 8:12).
