A Response to Mamdani’s Inaugural Speech

Mamdani’s call to replace , “the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” misses the forest for the trees. What we need is not this kumbaya “warmth collectivism” to replace rugged individualism but **rugged collectivism**. Because it is the the ruggedness that defines the American spirit.
